Larry Birkhead Is Dannielynn's Father

NASSAU, Bahamas (CNN) -- Larry Birkhead is the father of Anna Nicole Smith's baby daughter, Dannielynn, a Bahamian judge ruled Tuesday.

"Everybody, I hate to be the one to tell you this -- but I told you so," Birkhead said outside the court as he smiled and threw his hands into the air.

When asked what's next, he said, "I'm going to the toy store."

Crowds applauded in front of the courthouse as Birkhead, Smith's former boyfriend, made the announcement, and Birkhead teared up as he thanked his supporters. (Watch Birkhead be the one to say 'I told you so' )

A DNA test confirmed him as the father with 99.99 percent certainty, said Dr. Michael Baird, who performed the test and revealed the results to a closed session of a Bahamian court Tuesday.

The court had ordered DNA testing to determine the father of the child, who has been at the center of a paternity dispute since she was born in a Bahamian hospital in September.

Smith had publicly identified Howard K. Stern, her lawyer and live-in companion, as the baby's father and listed him as the father on the child's birth certificate.

Stern hugged Birkhead and said he is not going to fight him for custody.

All along I thought it was Larry's kid. I doubt that Howard K. Stern ever even had sex with Anna Nicole.

Larry Birkhead, the former boyfriend of the late Playboy Playmate Anna Nicole Smith, was all smiles after leaving a Bahamian courtroom on Friday afternoon. Birkhead, who claims to be the father of Anna Nicole Smith's daughter, Dannielynn, was positively beaming as he left the Bahamas court, though he refused to discuss any details of the court hearing. Despite the fact that Dannielynn's birth certificate indicates that Howard K. Stern, Smith's boyfriend, is the father of Dannielynn, Birkhead has been seeking a paternity test to prove he is the biological father of the child.

Both Larry Birkhead and Virgie Arthur, the mother of Anna Nicole Smith, are both seeking to gain custody of Dannielynn Hope Marshall Stern from Howard K. Stern via the Bahamas court. While the courts have ruled that the court case cannot be discussed in the media, Larry Birkhead emerged from the courtroom with a huge grin on his face, telling reporters he was "in a happy mood" after the private hearing. Playfuls quoted Larry Birkhead, who said, "There were different moods for different people. I'm in a happy mood but I can't speak for anyone else," while allowing a beaming smile to creep across his face.

After the court hearing, Larry Birkhead sat down with Access Hollywood to give an exclusive interview. Birkhead told the entertainment show, "I feel really good. What seems like has taken months and months in California basically is going pretty quick here in the Bahamas. I feel good about that. I think good things are coming pretty soon."

God, I really hope that baby is his, even though as much as he comes off like an idiot, Birkhead seems to be the most sincere.
