Lil Wayne Sets The Record Straight On DJ Diss

When I first heard that
Wayne dissed mixtape DJ's in some magazine my first thought was 'talk about biting the hand that feeds you' plus what a stupid, arrogant prick Wayne had become. But then he calls into DJ Drama's show, expands on what he meant and actually makes a good point about how some amateur DJ's be using him to get some shine for themselves based on his hard work:

After Lil’ Wayne torched the mixtape scene with scathing comments in an interview with Foundation Magazine [click to read], the entire mixtape scene was up in arms. Even the legendary DJ Doo Wop decided to get in on the mix and fire back at Weezy F Baby [click to read]. Late last night, Lil Wayne called in to DJ Drama’s Shade 45 Sirius Satellite Radio show to explain his position to the world.

“First off I ain’t mean to disrespect no deejays, no mixtape deejays, whatever kind of deejay you is, there was no kind of disrespect,” Wayne said on the air. “Especially given the fact that me and Drama, me and [DJ] Khaled and me and my homeboy Raj Smooth from New Orleans, we all get it in and do the mixtape thing. So given that fact, I think things were blew out of proportion."

Many may know that Wayne has been a fixture in the mixtape scene and recorded some of his most popular work with the likes of DJ Drama, Smoov and DJ Khaled. So who exactly was Wayne coming after with those sentiments?

“This Empire nigga, I don’t fuck with him. For all deejays I just want you to know that [the diss] was meant for that Empire nigga. I don’t fuck the Empire nigga. The nigga put a CD out on me every month and I couldn’t tell you how none of them niggas look in person,” Weezy said in regard to Worldwide Legacy’s brand of mixtapes. There is a popular series produced by The Empire titled The Drought Is Over which has been making its rounds in mixtape circles for some time.

Too bad for Wayne some yahoos had to get personal and leak his new album, but I predict that he'll still go platinum twice at least, esp. considering that its been so long since he last put out an official LP.

R. Kelly Still Trying To Stall Trial

It's been six years since Robert got charged with all those sex crimes and now with the trial finally getting some jury members on board, Robert's still playing games:

CHICAGO (AP) — Jury selection was completed at R. Kelly's child pornography trial Thursday amid contentious exchanges between prosecutors and defense attorneys, who accused each other of trying to stack the panel along racial lines.

Of the 12 jurors who will open the case, eight are white and four are black. The four alternates include two blacks, one Hispanic and one white.

Defense attorneys objected several times as prosecutors used challenges to have several blacks dismissed from the jury pool.

"I think they're using these (challenges) to get rid of African Americans," said Sam Adam Sr., one of Kelly's attorneys. A little later, he complained that "they've used 50 percent of their challenges on African Americans."

Amazing. And somehow, someway, you just know that the prosecution is going to find some way to mess this up even more with all their ghetto witnesses.

50 Cent Officially Kicks Babymama and Kid Out Of House

On the surface this sounds really bad and makes 50 look like a real creep:
Seems like 50 Cent doesn't want to put another dime into his ex-girlfriend and their son's living situation. Fitty (real name Curtis Jackson) allegedly bought the $1.5 million Long Island home (pictured) for Shaniqua Tompkins and their 10-year-old son, but now the rapper is sending them to the streets.

Tompkins filed a lawsuit in Manhattan accusing her ex of evicting her from the home, claiming "breach of contract." When closing on the house last year, sources reported that she wanted half of it in her name, but the deed only includes his. Does he have grounds to kick her out? A judge has obliged his wish, leaving the unemployed Tompkins to fend for herself. Sort of. The rapper's lawyer, Brett Kimmel, "said his client is paying Tompkins $6,700 a month, and that includes cash for her to find a new place to live for her and Marquise."

Not a bad deal for someone who had her new boyfriend living under Fitty's roof! That's right, the rapper claimed that Tompkins had invited her new beau and some other friends to live in the house that he was paying for.

And that's the point, this unemployed babymama had her boyfriend living in the house!?! That's just ghetto. Nevermind the fact that she had long been taking advantage of him via child support until a judge with some common sense recently lowered the payments. Then too is the fact that she was ordered by a judge to look for a new house and never did. Child supports payments alone can get her a nice pad...I'm with 50 on this one.

Remy Ma Found Guilty, Faces 25 Years

Remy Ma faces up to 25 years in prison for shooting some chick she thought stole her money last year:
Grammy-nominated rapper Remy Ma was convicted of assault, weapon possession, and attempted coercion on Thursday (March 27) and now faces up to 25 years in prison. The case involved an incident on July 14, 2007 when Remy Ma got into a woman's car after a party at a Manhattan nightclub and demanded that she dump her purse, accusing her of stealing $3,000. In her defense, the entertainer conceded that she did fire a shot but said the gun went off accidentally while the two women struggled over the purse. Assistant District Attorney Michael McIntosh said Remy Ma ''took an illegal .45-caliber automatic and loaded it with hollow-point bullets,'' then used both hands to cock the weapon as she got into the car. ''She took every step you had to take to shoot somebody,'' the prosecutor said. The victim, Makeda Barnes Joseph was shot in the abdomen and testified that she underwent three surgeries during a three-week hospital stay.
First of all, this incident is the perfect example of how sad Remy's career has gone as she had to shoot somebody herself in a job perfectly suited for a weed carrier. Either Remy had no weed carrier or she's just plain dumb. Or both. Then too is the fact that Remy, whose been dissing Fat Joe at every turn for her career being so down, seemed shocked at the fact that she was found guilty, like she's Busta Rhymes or something. Sorry Remy but you're not that important. Last but not least, if I were Makeda Joseph I'd pack up and leave town quick, angry dykes are not to be messed with....at all.

Vivica Fox Accepts Plea Deal For Drunken Driving

Vivica should know better. Hope I don't see her going off on one of her infamous tirades on anybody soon because that'd be kind of hypocritical after this incident. Would be kinda sad to know her fine ass was locked up tho', so I hope she learns from this.

Soap Star, Nathaniel Martson, Beats Up Cops

Apparently this guy has long had a problem controlling his temper, but going after cops just takes it to another level. Something's gotta be done about these out-of-control soap stars!

P. Diddy Claims Fatherhood To 6th Child

So this is what broke him and Kim Porter up the last time. Now I get it. So more child support payments for Diddy. If I was him I'd seriously consider getting a vasectomy.

John Singleton Involved In Fatal Car Accident

Singleton wasn't drunk, so if this isn't yet another example of why you should cross on the green and not in-between, I don't know what is.

R. Kelly To Finally Face Child Pornography Charges

Still can't believe that it took more than 5 years to get R. Kelly into court (says a lot about the state of our criminal justice system). I personally think that Kelly will eventually be found guilty of some child porn and even statutory rape charges and for that he should do some serious time. Hope while he's locked up he can still make some music tho'.
