Katrina Darrell: Random Beauty of the Week

The juice from
COEDmagazine.com:

If you watched “American Idol” last night, then you probably noticed “Bikini Girl” Katrina Darrell. She might not have been the best singer in the entire world (even if she did get through to the next round), but she sure knows how to rock a two-piece!

Now, we’re not usually ones to toot our own horn but through some hard research we’ve uncovered a treasure trove of sexy Katrina Darrell photos. The photos you’ll see below are just the tip of the sexy iceberg!

If you want to see all 100+ of Katrina Darrell’s leaked MySpace photos head over to COED Magazine Online’s Facebook Group for the rest of the bunch! Believe us, it’s worth it.

I don't even have to watch an episode and already Katrina is my fave to go all the way.

Crazy Paula Abdul Is At It Again

It's funny how Paula Abdul has managed to re-create herself, going from a perky pop diva to a lunatic judge on "American Idol", obviously from her continued antics, she prefers the loony label:
Paula Abdul says she and her fellow American Idol judges were thrown a “curveball” Tuesday night when they were asked to quickly sum up first half of the show — after originally being told they’d critique the contestants at the end.

Calling into Idol host Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM show Wednesday morning, Abdul said her strange response to Jason Castro’s performance was an “honest mistake.” Abdul admits she’d written notes on both Castro and another performer on the same card, and in the end, was simply “confused” as she gave her feedback.

“In seven years we’ve never had to do that,” she told Seacrest of the format change, adding, “We were only following directions.”

A Gentler Simon Cowell?

Not if "American Idol" wants to stay as popular as it is now because I know for me Simon's brutal honesty is the only reason to watch AI.

Corey Clark Lands In Jail

I still remember this dude from when he tried to smear Paula Abdul on TV awhile back. Well now that he's going to jail I guess it's safe to believe Paula's side that nothing sexual ever happened between the two.

Former "American Idol" Mario Vasquez In Gay Harass Suit

A former assistant production accountant for the company behind "American Idol" is suing his ex-employer and a former contestant on the Fox series' fourth season, alleging he was fired for complaining of sexual harassment by the male contestant.

Magdaleno Olmos filed his suit in Los Angeles Superior Court, alleging wrongful termination and violation of the state's Fair Employment and Housing Act. He is asking for unspecified
compensatory and punitive damages.

Along with American Idol Productions Inc. and former contestant Mario Vasquez, named defendants are Fremantle Media North America Inc., Fox Entertainment Group Inc. and Fox Broadcasting Co., all listed in the lawsuit as co-owners of the popular show.Spokesmen for Fremantle and Fox Entertainment, as well as Vasquez's personal lawyer, Jess L. Rosen, were not immediately available for comment on the complaint filed last Friday. All of the defendants "knew or should have known that Vasquez was gay or was widely rumored to be so," the lawsuit states.

Vasquez dropped out of the top 12 talent search competition during the fourth season of "American Idol" in March 2005, saying he wanted to focus on personal aspects of his life.

Not that I ever claimed to have great gaydar, but even I knew that he left "American Idol" because he was gay.

Taylor Hicks Struggling To Sell Records

NEW YORK (AP) -- "American Idol" winner Taylor Hicks needs his Soul Patrol to step up. They were certainly there for him around this time last year, when he was building up a feverish fan base, named the "Soul Patrol." The things about him that irked Simon Cowell -- that mop of gray hair and the herky-jerky dance moves that conjured up images of dorky dads loose at a wedding reception -- were instead embraced by millions, who later handed him the "Idol" title over the likes of talented hotties Katharine McPhee and Chris Daughtry. It was like a made-for-primetime fairy tale, starring the soulful-voiced Hicks. But as the all that hoopla died down, Hicks faced a tougher task: making the transition from reality TV star to established soul singer.

So far, not so good -- well, not Carrie Underwood "good."

His self-titled, post-"Idol" album, released in December, debuted at No. 2 on the charts. While it has sold a respectable 640,000 copies, it has slid significantly to a dismal rank: 136 this week. Discs by previous winners Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Fantasia and Ruben Studdard performed a lot better in
the weeks after they were issued. And finalist Chris Daughtry is near the top of the charts with the self-titled debut of his band Daughtry -- they have sold over 1 million records.

Geoff Mayfield, a senior analyst at Billboard, said he's got "a strong suspicion that (Hicks) might be the first winner who falls shy of a million units."

Good. I totally agreed with Simon when he dissed Hicks as being corny, which he is the embodiment of. Glad the rest of America finally caught on to this totally lame, poor man's George Clooney.
